It is with deepest sadness to learn that Prof. Chen has passed away.  He was a true pioneer in China's thermal-fluid engineering and science.  His relentless pursuit in advancing China's thermal-fluid engineering and sciences laid the foundation we have today.  I have had the privilege in meeting him in many occasions.  He struck me to be such a humble and down-to-earth person.  He was so honest and he treated everyone with respect and courtesy.  The trip with him to Jing-Gang Mountain is still very fresh with me: he insisted in hiking the mountain by himself when he was in his mid-80's!  I just wish him "All the best" in his departing journey!

I do not have a formal eulogy, but hope that both Profs. Veziroglu and Kakac will send their eulogies to you in time.
